CAFE MADRIGAL

Carrer de Puerto Rico, 41, 46006 València

Website

Start your morning in the trendy neighborhood of Ruzafa at Cafe Madrigal. If you’re in Spain, you must try some favorite Spanish breakfast dishes; tortilla Española, pan con tomate, and café con leche. At Cafe Madrigal you can get all three of these dishes for a total of 3,90 € before 1pm! They will amaze you with how their tortilla Española tastes like the real thing. Tortilla Española, aka the Spanish omelette, is one of Spain’s most famous dishes and is traditionally made with potatoes and a lot of eggs. However, Cafe Madrigal substitutes chickpea flour for the eggs, leaving you with a flavorful, and moist tortilla that can easily compete with any other. This dish includes a tostada de tomate (toasted baguette with tomato puree, olive oil and salt), and of course, coffee. They offer three kinds of plant-based milks to accompany that perfect cafè con leche. If you have more time this is a great district to return to since it’s filled with plenty of plant-based restaurants, bars and clubs.
